Our educational project
Agora Granada College and Agora Príncipes belong to the prestigious international group Globeducate, with more than 55 schools in 10 countries, and our educational project is defined by 5 distinctive elements: the International Baccalaureate as a model for the future, multilingualism, STEAM, sport and the commitment to provide our pupils with the tools to grow up as global citizens who can shape the world.
IB: An education for the future
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) provides pupils with a complete and demanding curriculum which is accepted by the most prestigious universities in the world. Agora Granada College International School is an authorised school to teach the Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate® (IB), ensuring the all-round education of our pupils from 0 to 18 years of age, a mission on which we focus our greatest efforts every day.
Multilingualism
We prepare our students for an international future. Our pupils are deeply immersed in English from the earliest years, with 50% of the subjects and activities taught in English during the Infant and Primary stages, and the language project is adapted to each school stage, incorporating new foreign languages such as French and Chinese.
STEAM: Science and arts
Art and science through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) competencies is a pedagogical approach that advocates collaborative work and the integration of highly related competencies. These 5 skills are key to children's all-round development, as they provide multiple cognitive and personal benefits. The creative and performing arts also play an important role in the overall education of pupils, enhancing their intellectual capacities.
Sports and Well-being
At Agora Granada College and Agora Príncipes Infant School we are aware that sports help to develop and promote values such as perseverance, self-improvement and teamwork, as well as strengthening social skills. From Nursery to Baccalaureate, we instil in our pupils a passion for sport and healthy lifestyle habits so that they become physically and emotionally balanced adults.
Shaping the World
Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2030. We must prepare them for jobs and technologies that do not exist today, to solve problems that have not yet been foreseen. As a school in the Globeducate group, we are committed to the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, which is why we have reached agreements with internationally renowned organisations such as Eco-Schools and WWF (World Wildlife Fund), driving projects to mobilise a community of over 100,000 people. We must encourage our students to take charge and shape their own future: we want them to become global citizens who can shape the world.
