Celebrating 25 Years of History at Granada College

The 9th of September 1999 marked the beginning of an educational dream which, 25 years later, is still going strong. This academic year, 2024-2025, is a special one for the entire Granada College community: we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, a quarter of a century full of learning, challenges overcome and unforgettable memories.

Since that first day of school, we have worked with dedication to offer a quality education that not only educates academically, but also in values. Every classroom, every courtyard, every corner of our school has witnessed the enthusiasm and effort of students, teachers, families and the whole team that has contributed to building the identity of Granada College.

A journey of transformation and growth

In these 25 years, we have seen generations of students pass through our doors, becoming young people committed to their environment and prepared to face the challenges of the future. Each of them has left their mark on our history, and at the same time, Granada College has been a fundamental part of their lives, helping them to grow and discover their potential.

Our founding values continue to guide our every step: academic excellence, respect, innovation and teamwork. This anniversary is not only an opportunity to look back and celebrate all that has been achieved, but also to look forward to the future with excitement and commitment.

The evolution of our Visual Identity

Throughout our history, the Granada College logo has been a true reflection of our mission and values. Our first logo featured a majestic lion with an open book underneath. This design symbolised strength, leadership and wisdom: the lion, with its imposing presence, represented courage, determination and protection, qualities that are fundamental to the education of our students. The open book was a symbol of knowledge, continuous learning and commitment to education. Together, these elements reflected the mission to build strong, wise and educated individuals, always emphasising the importance of study and human values.

Over the years, we have evolved into a new stage as Agora Granada College, adopting an identity which reaffirms our global vision. The term Agora, of Greek origin, represents unity and communication, essential values in the connection between our pupils and the world around them. It is a term which transcends languages, as it is pronounced the same all over the world, and symbolises our school as a space for personal and professional growth and development.

The symbol of Agora International School embodies this philosophy: a wave which represents the educational journey and the constant flow of life. This movement is a reflection of the energy and evolution which guides us, reminding us that education is a powerful force which transforms lives and opens up pathways to the future.
