Extracurricular activities

The practice of Judo is a way for our students to canalise their energy and at the same time it is an ideal way to develop their motor skills.

This sport is, without a doubt, one of the best tools for educating in values. By practising Judo, our students develop the concepts of discipline, effort, companionship...

Another activity with experience at Agora Granada College is chess. Two hours a week allow our pupils to learn moves and strategies which facilitate the practice of this sport.

Our pupils have the opportunity to participate in the provincial chess circuits.

Piano is one of the most popular activities amongst our students. Each class is like a small family, as there are only seven students per group, with two hours per week.

The guitar classes are for students from the 2nd year of primary school onwards. In these classes the children have an instrument for each one and from a very basic level they are beginning to learn the easiest chords and how to follow rhythms. Little by little, they are able to interpret children's songs.

The Agora Granada College Dance School is made up of almost eighty pupils aged between five and seventeen. Through dance, the aim is to encourage body expression using music. The pupils get to know and learn to control their bodies in a fun and playful way, accompanied by music.

Depending on their age, they learn different techniques ranging from the handling of dance instruments (castanets, balls, ribbons, etc.) to the development of postural control and knowledge of classical and Spanish dance notions.

Through five-a-side football, at Agora Granada College we improve our pupils' speed and ability to react, as well as channelling their energy and encouraging teamwork. We have several teams which take part in provincial competitions.

At Agora Granada College International School we have created a basketball school. There is an increasing number of pupils interested in this sport, which is why our school pays special attention to it. We currently have two girls' basketball teams which take part in provincial competitions in Granada.
