Facilities

The classrooms at Agora Granada College International School are adapted to the ages of our students and the functionalities at which they are aimed. We have Infant Education classrooms with the characteristics of active, autonomous and responsible learning; classrooms which have a layout which facilitates both individual and group work for working with Primary Education pupils. In Secondary Education, classrooms are designed with certain levels of independence in mind while facilitating collaborative work. All classrooms are equipped with a digital whiteboard, projector and internet connection. The Baccalaureate is characterised by more individual work; classrooms are equipped with the necessary elements to promote order and silence in work.

The function of our laboratories is to allow our students to consolidate what they have learnt through manipulation, observation in situ, transformation of materials, testing and repetition of concepts which are worked on in the classroom.

Agora Granada College has two large science laboratories, one for Natural Sciences and the other for physics and chemistry. Both have the materials, practice scripts, tools and instruments to carry out real experiences in each of the subjects and are supervised by the subject teachers.

At Agora Granada College, one of the fundamental pillars of comprehensive education is the improvement of physical fitness through the educational specialities which are worked on at different stages. Our sports facilities include an indoor pavilion, a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, a Tatami room (where judo classes are taught, an ideal space for learning and exercising all the movements which have to do with the psychomotor development of our pupils), a multi-purpose court (both for competition or Physical Education and for use at break times and other school events), an artificial grass pitch for football and rugby, and a climbing wall with different sizes and colours to adapt it to different age groups.

The introduction to the use of musical instruments, the development of pupils' imagination and creativity, a taste for aesthetics, the study of shapes, the design and layout of elevations, perspectives and standardisations all require suitable facilities with ample space, careful sound and lighting and the appropriate resources. Agora Granada College has classrooms for music, plastic arts, technology and technical drawing.

The dining room is just another educational activity, and as such at Agora Granada College we strive to provide facilities which encourage children to learn the rules of table manners. The school also has an educational dining room, where small groups of children are taught the rules of politeness at mealtimes.

Agora Granada College has open spaces in contact with nature which complement its facilities. These are leisure and recreational spaces such as the children's playground whose design allows for a wide variety of uses. The area of holm oaks, typical of a Mediterranean forest with benches, is an environment that invites relaxation and conversation between pupils and between teachers and pupils. Our school garden is another of the educational facilities in which our pupils learn from each of its various work areas: pond, composting, aromatic corner, greenhouse...

Our Auditorium has a capacity of 310 seats, which can be increased to 350. It is equipped with a sound system, spotlights, projector and multimedia equipment. It is the place where the different performances, school parties, parents' meetings and the cultural and academic events organised periodically by the school take place: Conferences, Opening and Closing of the school year, Graduation of each class, theatre plays...

The Agora Granada College library is one of the most emblematic and important places, due to its location and the importance given to it. Here, students learn something decisive for their personal and academic life: the importance of concentration and silence, as well as learning how to search for information and improve their research methods.
